On November 17, 2017 in the conference hall of the Astrakhan State Technical University there was a presentation of the book of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road", which was organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) jointly with the administration of the University.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Astrakhan Region D.Afanasyev, Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Astrakhan O.Kolomin, Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan K.Shekkaliev, representatives of diplomatic missions in Astrakhan, students and stuff of the Astrakhan State Technical University, Turkmen students studying in Astrakhan universities, representatives of scientific circles as well as mass media representatives.
During the presentation it was noted that the new book of the head of the Turkmenistan is addressed to a wide readership. The book reflects the concept of modern development of Turkmenistan, based on historical experience, traditions of peacemaking and good-neighborliness, reverence of the spiritual heritage of the Turkmen nation, its intention for regional and global integration and progress. The main idea of the book is the understanding of the initiative and constructive position of neutral Turkmenistan in the international arena through the prism of its historical path.
The multi-faceted analysis of the Great Silk Road, which played a great role in the development of economic, diplomatic, scientific and cultural ties between East and West, justifies the role of Turkmenistan, which occupies a favorable geopolitical position, in the integration processes of our time.
By appreciating the importance of the book published in three languages, the participants of the presentation stressed the importance of the new book of the President of Turkmenistan in popularizing the spiritual, historical and cultural aspects of the phenomenon of the Great Silk Road.
