On May 2, 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there were held political consultations between representatives of the foreign affairs offices of Turkmenistan and the State of Kuwait. The delegation of guests was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Mr. Ali Suleiman Al Saidi.
The sides noted with satisfaction the effective development of mutually beneficial cooperation, expressing the opinion that regularly held political consultations are one of the important mechanisms that contribute to the advancement of the Turkmen-Kuwaiti partnership. At the same time, the political dialog that has been successfully developed by both countries remains the foundation for interaction.
During the talks, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian fields, as well as in the fields of agriculture and textile industry. Proposals were made to intensify energy ties. The Turkmen side spoke in favor of expanding cooperation in science and education. The sides also discussed the possibility of holding Days of Culture of the two countries, as well as business forums with the participation of the representatives of Turkmen and Kuwaiti business circles.
At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of continuing the established dialogue for further diversification of fruitful cooperation that meets mutual interests.
