On October 30, 2023, a meeting was held in Bishkek between the delegation of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, led by Vice-Rector B.Myatliev, and the rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K.Dikambaev Akylbek Kylychev.
During the conversation, promising areas of cooperation between the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the DA of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan were discussed and mutual commitment to further deepening academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities was confirmed. The parties also exchanged views on the organization of joint research projects and events.
On the same day, a round table dedicated to the development of Turkmen-Kyrgyz relations was held in the premises of the Diplomatic Academy. The teaching staff and students of the Academy took part in the meeting.
During the speeches, the positive dynamics of the development of political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan were noted. The expansion of fruitful ties in the field of science and education was also highlighted as a priority area for further interaction.
